E-cigarettes: the cautious perspective

E-cigarettes are in the midst of an image war. Are they a useful tool in smoking cessation or is there a larger public health concern at hand?

Dr Brian King is a senior scientific advisor in the Office of Smoking and Health at the Center for Disease Control.  He believes that it is best to err on the side of caution in the wake of inconclusive science, as e-cigarettes may be an on-ramp to smoking conventional cigarettes, especially for youths.
