Zephyr Teachout, the former democratic candidate for governor of New York,  told Hofstra’s Morning Wake Up Call that the race for governor is still wide open. It has come down to the incumbent, Andrew Cuomo, a democrat, and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a republican.

Teachout advises that it’s too early to count out write-in and third party candidates like Howie Hawkins. Anti-Cuomo sentiment and the democratic ideals of New Yorkers make this election anything but predictable.
